Harvest Assembly

CSSS Primary are having a pupils only Harvest Assembly tomorrow. This year, the pupils have decided to donate any donations to a local charity, The Gate Foodbank. Any donations of items such as tinned foods, pasta, rice, coffee etc would be gratefully received. Thanks to those who have already donated. Every item helps someone in crisis.

Learning to code with Sphero robotic balls

Our CSSS primary pupils are learning digital skills on Wednesdays when we have Tablet Academy Scotland running a Digital Ninjas project with the pupils. They are using Sphero robots to learn problem solving and work together to code the robots to follow a course. 

They have designed their own courses and have been learning Maths and Science to enable them to judge speed, distance and control the heading angles of the robot balls. Our pupils seem to really enjoy it and are learning a lot of new skills.

Hi! My name is Kerstin McKelvie and I am the Sports Support Worker for Primary and Secondary School Support.  I love working with the pupils to develop their skills in various sports.  Last year I even took some pupils to compete in some local competitions – this year hopefully we can take part in more!

In my spare time I like to do gymnastics and dancing 🙂 and any other sports really!

The P7 prom

The P7 Primary prom took place last Friday at Alloa Academy. Our boys Jamie and Tyler attended and they both looked very dapper in their suits.

There was a disco providing entertainment and a selection of food. The boys arrived in a Hummer making sure that they made their entrance in style.
